I'm in the middle of my application process and I was wondering what my chances might be. I'm putting my first choice major as Civil Engineering for the following schools:

Rice
UT
Illinois
Michigan
I have already been accepted to Texas A&M's civil engineering program.

My high school is overall a pretty competitive large public high school in Texas.

Rank: 80/1340 (Top 5.97%)
Gpa: UW: 3.82 W:4.22

AP Scores: World History (5), US History (5), Spanish Lang (4), English Lang (4), Psychology (5)

Senior Course Load:
AP Calc BC, AP English Lit, AP Spanish Lit, AP Environmental Science (I decided on engineering after I signed up for classes or else I would have taken AP Physics B or C), and Band

ACT: Composite:34, 34-eng, 32-math, 36-reading, 33-science, 6-writing(painfully low)

ECs: I'm heavily involved with band. I'm a section leader and am consistently first chair. I regularly make all-region and last year made all-area. I also have 75+ volunteering through NHS and participate in my church's youth group.

Work Experience: I've had a job at a tutoring center since the beginning of September.

Oh, and I am a white male. Thanks!
