Chance me for engineering schools?

Hi, I am an international student planning to apply for UC Berkeley and UCLA and maybe Stanford(?) for electrical engineering. I don’t know whether or not to apply for Stanford EA cause I won’t have SAT II score by that time, and I understand it’s highly competitive so I might wait until my GPA goes up

SAT I: 2250
SAT II: will take Math II in Nov
GPA: I really don’t know how to convert due to the drastic difference of the grading systems but I have an average of 92% since sophomore year
IB (full diploma): Mandarin SL (7), Math SL (7), Chem SL (7), English HL (5), Geography HL (5), Physics HL (6)
so that would be ~37/42

Honors/Awards:

  • recipient for an international innovation competition ($10,000 in award prize)
  • Honorable Mention for a film award
  • Community Service Awards
  • Academic Honor Roll/IB Diploma

Extracurriculars:

  • dance (for 9 years) (group dance awards)
  • founder and president of a national non-profit
  • finalist for national renowned pageant
  • runway/print model (1-2 years)
  • signed actress/dancer at an agency for 1 year
  • co-founder of school volunteer club
  • pretty skilled at graphics design (designed name cards, posters, banners for companies and organizations)
  • organized many local big events, conferences, workshops…etc

Volunteer/Community service:

  • 300+ hours in the community
  • volunteer/director for regional science olympics, peer tutoring at school, TEDx conferences, ambassador for World Vision

Work:

  • business summer camp instructor
  • graphic designer
  • intern at an international tech company that produces drones

Ethnicity: chinese
Gender: female

thanks in advance!

Do you know your class rank? You’re getting 0 aid at Berkeley and LA and probably very little at Stanford so make sure you can afford the cost. It’s 55k a year for UCB/UCLA and 60k+ for Stanford.

You have as good a chance as any (assuming that you are in the very top of your class), but international admissions is super, super competitive, so make sure to apply to some safety schools as well.

having no aid is not a problem, but what’s considered the very top of the class? we don’t do rankings but I am pretty sure I am not 1/390 but maybe top 3%

btw using the UC GPA calculator i found out my UC uwGPA would be 3.89 and wGPA would be 4.33

Engineering is impacted at all of the UC’s so as an international student, you would have to be better than the average student.
The UC’s look at 10th and 11th grades.

Stanford is a reach.
Berkeley and LA are out of reach because of the major you’ve selected.

assuming your in state
UCB- match
Stanford- reach (but given your EC’s you have a good shot)

@HotlineBling The first line in OP said she is an international student.

does anyone know if full diploma IB will impact anything? since it is renowned for its competitiveness and coursework

also should I retake my SATs to improve it rather than doing my SAT II?
