So... I know my GPA is terrible, but my grades have been constantly improving since freshman year.

GPA: 3.18 (Unweighted)
5.824 (weighted)

Weighted Rank: 129/500

I have been in a lot of honors and AP courses.

ACT: Composite 34
Math 30
Science 36
Reading 36
English 34

Lots of extra curriculars. And I'm a woman!

I’ve also done lots of independent research. Every year, going to state science fair

hrrmmmm…You’re stats are about the most in conflict that I’ve seen in a while, and in more than one way. Why such a large discrepancy between weighted and unweighted GPA? And why, with such a high weighted GPA would your class rank be so low? While your ACT composite is good, your math subscore of 30, which they closely look at, while OK, isn’t what you’d expect from someone with a 34 composite.

So, really, I’m not sure how you’ll fair, but if I had to venture a guess, I’d say you’d most likely be deferred until they can get a look at the strength of the RA applicants overall.

You don’t mention the particular engineering program that you’ve requested, that would help in evaluating your chances. I’m making the assumption that you applied for Priority consideration too. If I’m mistaken, let me know.

The fact that you’re a woman is a plus, but I’m not sure how heavily that is weighed.

Good luck.
