chance me? for engineering

Hello i'm an asian male living in CA and i immigrated to US 6 years ago in the middle of 6th grade. I am an international (it's disadvantage right?) coming from low-income family (worst case) and i might apply for FA for some schools and some not.

i know that berkeley engineering is top in the nation and it'll be harder to get in so please chance me! if you are a current engineering student that would help greatly!

Chance me please~~ :)

good to go dude. no worries, just write good essays and ur in.

bump! i wanna emphasize the ‘engineering’ though :(

you should have no problem getting into any engineering besides eecs.

would undeclared engineering help or no in getting in? cus im really not sure which major specificly

Undeclared engineering would hurt, actually. The most competitive college of engineering programs are bioengineering, EECS, and undeclared.

hmm then is it possible for me to write civil engineering or some other that would be easier than computer engineering or bioengineering and then switch my major in my freshman year? or would that be too much of a hassle to try to switch my major?

and what would be my chances if i were to apply for those impacted engineering programs?

go for it buddy

you do not want to transfer majors. It’s a lot of work and chances are slim that you will get in unless you have top notch grades. If you want to apply for an impacted major, apply for it now. You have a good chance of getting in. Off the top of my head (ie. this is completely subjective) i’d say your chances are >50%.

You should be good for Undeclared. Go for it!!

Yeah, I think the OP has a good shot - top 10% of his class/batch, very good SAT and excellent ECs.

bumpppp wouldnt undeclared/EECS engineering hurt my chances though?
chance me with your frank opinions pleaseee

Like everyone on here is saying, your chances of getting admitted are high.
