Bump Anyone?

You certainly have great grades and test scores along with great extracurricularars and work experiences. The ivies may be a little difficult because they’re ivies, but you have a legitimate chance of getting into all of those colleges listed.

You are looking at ultra competitive ivies so it is hard to chance. Your grades are high, your ACT is great, which means you are in range. That being said your EC’s are very scattered, so that could hurt you. Also your essay (based on the topic) could turn out really great or really cheesy so make sure it is not the latter. Good luck!

Thank you both! Anyone else?

I’ll chance back!

Bring up your SAT II scores to atleast 700+ if not 750+ and do you have any leadership?

My leadership is subjective (i.e. organizing fundraisers, projects, etc.) and my teachers writing my recommendations are well aware of this. I won’t be submitting my SATII scores.

You need the SAT II scores for half the schools you are applying to. Not having them will be fatal.

Meh… SAT II scores don’t really matter. Your time can probably be better spent on ECs.

As for chances, you have a good chance at any school except Harvard, Yale, and Stanford (assuming your college essays will be really good), especially since you are an URM. Still, I wouldn’t be surprised if you got into Harvard, Yale, and Stanford.

No suprises,
What an impressive applicant! You will defintely be accepeted to USC, Vanderbilt, George Wash u, and Rice. I am not too sure for the other schools such as Harvard, Yale, and so forth. I cannot make any promises only because I do not know your ethinicity, but still apply and I wouldnt doubt acceptances to Brown and Dartmouth. Do not re-take the ACT, you did more than great. Good luck! Chance me, I would really appreciate it.

If you want to go pre-med, you should be looking at LACs. You would likely get merit aid from a lot of them, and you can then put the savings aside for med school. They will likely be more supportive and less cutthroat than a lot of the schools you have listed above, and you will have a just-as-good (or better) chance of getting into the med school of your choice. Good luck.

Actually I am pretty sure half of these schools require SAT II tests so it’s best to take it. It is just one way to show how good you are in biology.

You have a great shot! The only test you might retake is SAT subject bio. Wait until November when you’ve had AP bio. Your ECs are great! And you work 6 hrs week. Instruments sound interesting. XC story sounds good plusURM.

Bariatrics a little too specific!

I agree with a previous poster who said to retake your bio sat 2, especially if you want to major in medicine. The fact that you shadowed a doctor is very impressive and if he/she can write you a good recommendation it would be great! Overall I think you have a pretty good chance at all the schools you listed but just remember the ivies can be very unpredictable! Good luck!!
