Chance me for Fall 2019 Transfer

Hi there!
I’m an new NVCC student looking to apply to UVA CAS as a transfer student. NVCC has guaranteed admissions agreements with UVA, however I am not meeting some parts of the agreement. I am coming into NVCC this fall with 30 direct dual enrollment credits, and multiple AP credits. I also have GMU credits from dual enrollment independent science research as well. I will be graduating with an AS in Science at the age of 18 this Spring. I have a 3.857 at NVCC so far, from dual enrollment credits. I got one B in physics 201 when I was 15/16 and other than that all As. The GAA requires four semesters of a language, but I am only attending the NVCC campus for two semesters before I graduate. The GAA also requires Eng 210 if you took Eng 111 and Eng 112 by dual enrollment, but this is extra credits for me. Thus, I have decided to apply competively. Here’s a quick rundown of my stats and whatnot.

College:
GPA: 3.857 at NVCC, perhaps a 3.9 when I actually take classes. 4.0 at GMU
Courses: Sci Research at GMU (DE), Bio 101+102 (DE), Eng 111+112 (DE), His 121+121 (DE), Phys 201+202 (DE), Calc 263-264 (used to be 173-174), Chem 111-112, Arabic 101-102, Intro to Communications 110, Intro to Islam 233 (I believe it is non western perspective), and Art history 101
Extracurriculars: Phi Theta Kappa, NSCS, Mu Alpha Theta, Pre Health Club, MSA, volunteer at the hospital and mosque, work part time as a certified pharmacy technician

High School:
GPA: around a 4.1 weighted
Top 25%, competive NOVA county and school
ACT: 27 (I’m going to take the SAT this year and shoot for 1300-1400)
APs: World History (4), Chemistry (no exam), Psychology (4), Biology (was AP/DE, so I didn’t take the exam), Calc AB (scores not out yet, maybe a 3 or 4), Comparative Government (scores not out yet, probably a 4 or 5)
Extracurriculars: Science National Honor Society officer/VP, Environmental Club VP, Interact club member (rotary club ties), National Honor Society member, Mu Alpha Theta member, Sisters in STEM member, Astronomy Club member, volunteer at the hospital and mosque
Awards: Board of Education seal on diploma (As in AP courses), Governors seal on diploma (Bs in AP courses), Outstanding Student in AP Chemistry, Excellence in hours served at the local hospital

I was really depressed during high school, and suffered through an eating disorder. Freshman and sophomore year I had a 3.8. I brought it up to a 4.1 ish by working hard junior and senior year. I was very active in science research, and was a lab “technician” for my AP Bio teacher and competed in the regional RSEF science fair. I have more potential than my high school stats say, in my opinion.

I am also applying to UMD CP, Georgetown and GWU. I guess GMU too, but technically I already applied since I took a class with them?

Please give me your opinion!

lmaoo you’ll get in. take eng 210 and relax

Very solid chance. Great GPA. Definitely take the SAT and shoot for 1200+ and you’ll be fine.
