Im a Florida resident and I applied for summer at Florida state

3.7 weighted gpa

I got a 22 act
21 english
25 reading
19 math
21 science

My concern is that fsu has a requirement of 21 on act math, but on college confidential it says that most people that got in have a 18-24 math act, will this score kill all my chances of getting in ?

I also played varsity soccer and was in badminton

yeah your low ACT scores and your low EC are going to hurt you, unless you didn’t list some (stuff you did outside of school counts too). try taking the ACT again if it’s not too late. in terms of your GPA, you’re fine with that.

Thanks ! Do you think being a Florida resident and applying for summer will increase any of my chances, and yes there are a few other e.c’s, I didn’t post much because I heard fsu looks mostly at gpa and test scores

Theyre really strict on the 21 requirement. I have a couple friends who were good students who didn’t get the 21 on math and got denied. A friend of mine even went to Tally and talked to an admissions person and they said dont bother without that 21. Try taking the ACT again. I hate to be the bearer of bad news.
