Okay, thank you so much! All opinions are appreciated! If I could go out of state I would, but I need to make use of my Hope scholarship (so if there are any other Georgia schools you think I would be better suited for, please let me know!). Thanks again!

I think you will be accepted to both schools. You’re SAT scores are great, your GPA is good, and your ECs are great. I knew a friend that was accepted into UGA and she had very low scores, grades, and ECs. She was below a 3.0, out of state, and had below average SAT scores. The only reason I think she was accepted was because her older sister went there. You will most likely be accepted. Good luck.

thanks! wow I didn’t think I had that much of a chance :)

Your profile sounds a great deal like my daughter’s. She applied to both GT and UGA early action and was admitted. She also just recently found out she was accepted to the Honor’s program at UGA. Both are excellent schools. She has been concerned about the size of UGA, but the Honor’s program is a great way to be part of a more academic pool of students and to make the school feel a bit smaller.

I would apply to both because your feelings will change over time and it is good to have options. Not applying to both, especially if you are a GA resident, is foolish. You want options!
