I’m very interested in politics, and the idea of going to school in D.C. really appeals to me.

President and founder of Political Activism Club; President and founder of student section club; Future business leaders of America; Key Club, two jobs (Up to 45 hours a week)
-Placed third in a contest for my take on Long Island diversity (out of about 400)
-Have participated in over 30 EXTENSIVE contests, and received honors and won multiple(almost all pertain to my interest in politics)
-Plan to attend a Washington D.C congressional seminar
-Contributor to the school newspaper
-Captain of J.V. football team
-Won an award from my state senator for my leadership
-Have been in contact with a state senator and may have an internship lined up this summer
-Organized a year round recreation program for High School and Middle School aged kids in my town

-Still waiting to hear back from over 10 contests but I am very confident

Other:
Recommendations- I expect they will be excellent, (my social studies teacher thing im the next president haha) and I have had the same spanish teacher for 3 years (honors) and she always uses me as an example to the rest of the class as a hard worker.
-My guidance counselor I also expect an excellent essay. She described me as one of the hardest working students she has ever had.
-My college essay will be about how my experiences in an affluent town next to a notoriously violent and poor town has sparked my interest in government. (Coworkers deported, Witnessed acts of racism,etc.) and I am a very good writer. I am very critical of my own writing and will not send in anything less than excellent

Also, yes. I think it’s a high match, but I think you definitely have a shot. GWU is hard to get in and you should probably ideally want a 31 on the ACT, but you have a good set of classes and GPA, so you should have a good shot

You have an excellent profile! If you score between a 2000-2100 on the SAT GW is definitely be a match. I don’t think you will need a 31 on your ACT to get into GW, maybe for Georgetown though.

@epgolchini Every time somebody comments on your thread, it becomes more recent on the forum. So, whenever nobody answers your thread after a while, you just put bump and it puts your thread more recent, and more people will see it.

Match-high match. I’m not sure what your GPA translates to on a 4.0 scale though.
