Thanks in advance (I will chance back!)

aaaanyone?

bump again

Bumpology.

Georgetown: your clubs/stuff don’t match up with your major, so awk.

You seem like a strong contender! I would definitely look into applying specifically to Cornell’s undergraduate business school, the Charles H. Dyson School and Georgetown’s undergraduate business school, the McDonough School of Business. Try to strength your extracurricular activities by looking for possible internships/clubs/etc., that may fit your major better.

There’s a scholarship that I’m applying for that, if I win, would allow me to take two free classes of my choice at nearby Adelphi so I’d make sure to make the choice to take extra business classes if/when there. I also came in 11th out of like 180+ in a long island German competition (which I assume should help me with the language aspect of international business). Additionally, I’m going to be studying very hard for a business competition through FBLA and the internship with a family friend will be also fairly business intensive (I hope).

Aside from that, what else do you recommend? I’ve been keeping my ears open for anything business-related but not much pops up.

Bump/additional chancing welcome

If you plan to be a business major, UVA should be your number 1 choice. Also I know more of those schools offer Early Action so why not take advantage of it. Everything is fine but for the Ivy Leagues you need 2-3 SAT IIs above 700. A 650 on Bio isn’t worth sending to some of those schools.

Yeah I know. That’s why I unfortunately have to take 3 in the coming months. I actually do intend to apply EA where available as well. Idk why I didn’t put that for all of them.

Also, UVA is definitely up there, but I have to remain primarily within the northeast or within an 8 hour drive because of prior family complications (long story). Thats why I didn’t place too much emphasis on northwestern or michigan. However, like UVA, their programs are too good not to apply to.

Anyone else? A simple match, safety, reach list would be more than enough.

I disagree - if INTERNATIONAL Business is your first choice, you’re doing no wrong choosing Georgetown over it.

I’m assuming by “it”, you’re referring to UVA, Northwestern, and Michigan? Yeah, I know GU has a great program for this major in particular but I’m just trying to keep the possibilities open bc, like you said, not everything matches with my major and, especially with schools like this, admissions is a crap shoot. I’d be more than happy if I got into any of my non-safeties to be totally honest.

Bump/more chancing welcome

You have a good chance!

BTW, the parents of your aunt and uncle going to Cornell – does not make you a legacy. Nor a distant legacy.

Yeah I knew it was a stretch. I just thought I’d throw it in for whatever it might be worth-which is apparently nothing. haha

More chances welcome (remember, I’ll chance back if that’s what its gonna take) :)
