Please let me know your thoughts. My biggest concern is my atrocious math performance standardized test wise, but I have consistent A’s in math classes. I will chance back.
Hey, I’m in the same exact situation with the math 2 test. Georgetown is my dream school but my test scores are not great. I also got a 610 on the math 2 and my scores for lit and ush are not much better. I thought my ap calc bc score would help me out and show I can actually do math, but I did horrible- and Georgetown doesn’t even look until after. I was thinking about retaking subject tests in August, have you thought about that?
As for your stats I think they look great and your hooks will definitely help you out a lot. Are you planning on applying to SFS? Thats where I am applying as well
I think you have a great shot! People tend to think you can’t get in with low 4s but people from my school get in a lot with 4.10+. One person got in with 4.1 and like a 29 act…also, a 32 is great! I would retake to try to get to 34+ because that bumps you to 99% and it really does make a difference. But you could just as well get in with a 32. I’m just saying, for a higher chnace, I would retake.
As for hooks, I’m not sure how big gtown is on legacy. I know a great applicant that got rejected and her dad went there. Not that the legacy would grant her auto admit, but she was a great applicant over all. Everyone was just kind of surprised.
Anyways, good luck! I think you have a really great shot. Gtown is my first choice. I’m terrified for December, but at least they don’t reject early apps anymore
Honestly, for gtown, I’d say at least a 4.0, great test scores , and a great resume, and you’re on the playing field. So you’re set. Just write great essays! The rest is out of your hands and kind of comes down to luck, really
Just to complete this thread full circle, accepted to Georgetown early action this December
What was your official class rank?
