Chance me for Georgetown EA SFS?!

Chance me? Georgetown University, GWU, and AU
I've been dreaming of going to Gtown's SFS for some time now. Please be honest-- any opinions are greatly appreciated! Other schools of interest are George Washington U and The American University. Hoping to pursue international business. I applied EA to Gtown.

Other
-I organized a benefit recital with my best friend for the Japan Earthquake Relief and Pacific Tsunami Fund shortly after those horrific earthquakes hit Japan. We organized everything through a site called Citizen Effect. Planning it all took an extensive amount of time, but the hardest part was getting our repertoire up to par (it was a piano concert) because we each had to perform ~60 mins of memorized pieces. We held 5 different concerts at 4 different venues. Our original fundraising goal was $3000, but after the first 2 concerts, we upped it to $5000. At the end of the whole thing we managed to raise $5,060 for Japan. I'm really proud of what we did and I had a wonderful time doing this all in the process. If I have no other hook, I'm hoping this will be it...

I am also currently learning French via Rosetta Stone. Besides music, language is my greatest skill and true passion! Hoping to learn as many new languages as I can so I can travel everywhere in my future business endeavors.

Thanks so much for reading over this, and again, I value all input greatly!

Your class rank/GPA is a strength. Your EC’s are very strong. Your test scores are marginal. I would make sure that you don’t portray your language interests as sporadic (wanting to learn a bunch of languages but not mastering any of them.) They would like you to master one or two languages before moving on to others, but it’s a plus that you are ambitious in that area.

The fact that you don’t need financial aid does not hurt or help you. At Georgetown, the financial aid department is separate from admissions (according to a seminar) so, unlike with other schools, it will not benefit you that you do not need financial aid.

Hey, you’re applying to the same schools I am (except I’m a transfer student/political science major.) I think it’s always hard to say with schools like Georgetown for sure, but you definitely have a very good chance! Your credentials are definitely where they need to be, but a lot of the top tier schools like GU reject people for seemingly no apparent reason…The fact that you’re half Filipino will also be a pretty huge advantage.

Georgetown - Probable
GWU - In
AU - In

Maybe I’ll see you there next year, but I think I’m actually starting to lean towards going to GW instead because I love the idea of their city-style campus and apartment-type dorms. :)

GU’s average ACT is 31-34 according to the figures they put up at an official seminar. You definitely have a chance, but nothing here is probable.
