Chance me for georgetown ea

hello, i just applied early action to georgetown and ik it’s a reach school but I was wondering if anyone could please chance me. i applied to the school of nursing and health studies and declared human science as my major.

stats:

  • 4.44 weighted gpa, idk unweighted
  • 1400 highest sat
  • 33 highest act
  • world history and biology (ecology) subject sats, don’t have scores yet
  • ranked 27/563

AP classes:

  • biology (4)
  • u.s. history (3)
  • english language and composition (5)
  • calc ab (3)
  • psychology
  • calc bc
  • u.s. and comparative gov

extracurriculars (really worried about these):

  • nhs and science nhs (11, 12)
  • math nhs (12)
  • tutoring club (10, 11, 12)
  • almost 200 community service hours (9, 10, 11, 12)
  • work (10, 11, 12)
  • spanish club (9, 10)
  • vice president of multicultural/diversity club (11, 12)
  • hospital volunteering (11, 12)
  • basketball manager (9, 10, 11 ,12)

awards

  • 4.0 honor roll (9, 10, 11, and on track for this year)
  • AP scholar w honor (11)
  • workplace readiness certification (10)
  • OSHA 10 Hour General Industry (Healthcare) certification (10)
  • top science research project (11)

hopefully my essays are able to show them who i am as a person and what i can offer to the school.

Hi StressedGirl02. Hope this doesn’t add to your stress, but EA is unlikely. Applying Georgetown EA confers no advantage–the admit rate is the same (maybe a shade worse) as regular admission. GU uses EA to accept really strong candidates who would have gotten in anyway (basically, competing with ED at the ivies). That doesn’t mean you won’t get in during RA but, based on the information you provided, EA is a long shot. You may want to consider applying ED somewhere else (if there’s a school that interests you) since you are not giving away any advantage at all by applying RA at Georgetown. Good luck!

Hi StressedGirl02: One other thought–the School of Public Health is a bit quirkier than the other three colleges at GU, so you may actually have a better shot than per my first post. Good luck–let us know if you get in.
