Chance me for Georgetown, Northwestern, Boston, WUSTL, Notre Dame, and Michigan?

Hello! I’m a junior looking at these colleges.
Caucasion male.
Income bracket: $210,000+

My GPA is 4.08 weighted; might be able to bring it up to a 4.3 by the end of my senior year.
I’m in all Honors and AP.
Senior year: AP Calc AB, Spanish 4 Honors, AP Psych, AP Lit, AP Euro, AP Macro, AP Gov. I’m taking the highest of each course I possibly can. Oh, and I doubled-up on math my sophomore & junior year.
Sophomore year I took one AP class: APUSH & I got a 3.
Junior year I took: Stats, Language, and Human Geo. Obviously these scores aren’t out yet, though.

Intended major: International Studies/Relations/Business. I might double major in a language/specific area of study! Also, if the school offers a genetics minor, I might minor in that.

Letters of Recommendation: High school principal, guidance counselor, CEO of my leadership program (most likely)

I’m in Debate, Class Cabinet, Student Council, N-Teens(Volunteer), Principal’s Advisory Team(nominated; one of 10 students out of a school of 3,300), Academic Letter Winners (Officer), Dollars for Scholars, and Academic Superbowl.
I was VP in Class Cabinet. Also, I’m beginning an International Relations club, so that should be up and running this year! I’m in NHS, too. I will also be running for leadership roles in these clubs as time goes on. I was also asked to be on the board for helping my school choose a new calendar for the school year (when breaks should be, how long, etc)

Outside of school, I’m organizing a Diabetes Walk and I’m part of a Leadership group for Juniors/Seniors. We do a service project for my region. I was one of 50 kids chosen out of 100 nominated in the whole region. I also volunteered at the Human Society and was a page for a Senator in my state for a day. I was accepted into an 12-day international business study program at IU on a scholarship. Also, I’m a board member for my region’s global trade alliance!

I have had a job for the past 2 years as a cashier. My ACT score is a 30, but my superscore is a 31. I might take it again in September. I’m at an 1880 on the SAT as of now, but that was the June score & I’m positive my score would’ve been higher if the two sections were graded. So, I’ll be retaking it in October! Furthermore, I’ll be taking the SAT Subject tests in November! Also, will I still be able to apply EA even though my subject tests will be sent in late?
Essays should be fine.

Now, I realize that most of these are probably a reach for me. I do have safeties, but I’m confident I’ll be accepted.
Please chance me on:
Georgetown
Northwestern
Boston
WUSTL
Notre Dame
Michigan

I’m also thinking of applying at George Washington, Ohio State, and NYU!

I know some are obvious reaches. My safety schools are IU and American University.
Thank you for the help!

I would recommend taking the ACT again. Most of those schools don’t superscore ACT, and even if they did, a 31 will make Northwestern, WUSTL and Notre Dame tricky. Your ECs are strong and so is your course load, I would focus on bringing up your test scores now, and writing strong essays. Good luck!

Thanks a lot! I’m definitely retaking the ACT one last time. My goal is a 32, so let’s hope I’m not forever stuck at a 30/31! Thanks for the reply!

Ill use the 30 for the chances
Georgetown- reach
Northwestern- reach
Boston- match
WUSTL- high reach (like high ACT scores)
Notre Dame- high reach (look a WUSTL)
Michigan- if instate than match if OOS than reach
OSU- match
NYU- high match

What is your uwGPA?
Your ACT is better than SAT while it is still on the low side for most of the schools on your list.

I have no idea what my unweighted GPA is. I’m hoping to raise my ACT and SAT! The third time’s a charm, right?
Thanks for the chance!

@seanman1224 Do you have any B or C in core subjects?

I do have a couple B’s throughout my transcript, but no C’s.

anyone else want to chance me please?

Your scores do not look good for Notre Dame as it normally takes at least in the 33+ or 2250+ range

I’m not surprised! I’m not expecting an acceptance; I’m mostly just applying because my parents want me to.

You uwGPA should be around 3.9 after junior year.

How did you calculate that? When my GPA was a 3.84 at the beginning of junior year, my uwGPA was a 3.55.

Anyone else want to give it a shot?

Only a couple Bs would not give you a uwGPA of 3.55 unless you have only 5 grades on your whole transcript. Just do the following, all A(+/-) as 4.0, all B as 3.0, etc and calculate the average of all core subjects.

Okay, I’ll do that! Thanks!

I would love so more chances!

@seanman1224

I saw your other thread so I’ll just chance both at the same time.

WUSTL- Reach
Notre Dame - Reach
Gerogetown - Reach. Your GPA is on the lower side for top-tier schools and your SAT/ACT scores are also below/at the 25th percentile. Applying EA also doesn’t increase your chances at Gtown and you’re restricted from applying ED anywhere else.
Michigan - High Match/Reach if you’re OOS
Boston - Match
GWU - Match
American - (Low) Match. Don’t forget to show plenty of interest in American as they consider Applicant Interest “Very Important” to prevent higher stat students from using them as a safety (basically it’s yield protection). Their acceptance rate also dropped to 35% this year, lower than GW’s 45%.

What grades did you get this (junior) year? If you’ve showed significant improvement, that could up your chances at some of the higher-tier schools.

Thank you! My GPA is lower, yes, but I’m really hoping on improving it! I’m retaking a class online so I should have a 4.1 by August. I know applying EA doesn’t increase my chances, but that’s where I want to go so I’m not concerned about applying ED anywhere else!

I got mostly As. I got a B in Pre-Calc/Trig H and a B+ in Spanish 3 H, but all the rest were As. I believe I definitely improved my junior year as my GPA jumped from a 3.84 at the beginning of the year to a 4.08 to the end!
