Very much devoted to these 2 activities…

Counselor at a YMCA summer camp- I spent the entire summer (10 weeks) in the middle of nowhere as a counselor for kids 5-14, had been a camper for 11 years. Spent 4 and 3 weeks there in the summers before that, respectively. Story of my life, honestly. Have over 300 volunteer hours there, too.

First essay is about camp for every summer since I was 6!
Second essay is about my love for international cooking and world history
The SFS essay is under construction, but is a personal topic and should be good.

I’m a freshman in the SFS and did not have as impressive of an application as you, soooo I’d say based on stats and extracurriculars alone you’re a really solid candidate. I know kids in the SFS who are not as qualified as you put yourself to be, but anything can happen, as admissions are really subjective. I know that emphasizing that I’m Jewish in my essays helped me since they’re trying to increase their percentage of non Christian or catholic students lol

I agree with the previous poster. Your stats and ECs are above average, and from what I can see you seem to be very passionate about the things that you like. If you can effectively demonstrate that in your essays and interviews, I think you have a strong chance. Good luck!

Your stats are fantastic, and while your ECs are strong I don’t see too much of an political/international theme to them, which could hurt for an SFS applicant. However, with the rest of your application being above average, I think you have a solid chance, especially if your SFS essay is strong.
