Chance me for Georgetown

I’m currently a junior who is very interested in politics, and Georgetown is by far my number one choice. I’ll also be applying to BC, GWU, and maybe an Ivy. I’m a white male and I want to major in economics.

ACT: 32 (may take again)
SAT II: Taking Chem and US History this spring, and Math II in fall
APs: Took APUSH and Chem this year (scored not back yet), taking Lang and Calc senior year
Dual Enrollment: Chem this year and Western Civ senior year, both with UCONN

  • CT General Assembly Recognition for Social Studies

Work:

  • Have a job with the town government this summer
  • Do sound and light tech work for various auditoriums
  • May try to get another job this summer as well

Internships:
-Working on a state senate campaign team this summer, and if my guy wins I’ll try to secure a session internship as well.

I think you have a decent chance of getting into Georgetown. One thing that I would make sure to do is to find something that makes you different than the other applicants. You have the scores and the ECs, but why should Georgetown take you over another totally qualifies applicant? Make sure that you stand out through your application and essay.
