Chance me for Georgia Tech Please

SAT Score: 1900
670 - CR and Math. 560 in Writing. I am planning on studying and retaking the SAT in October of my senior year.
GPA: 3.5~3.7 (unweighted) Assume lower end of the GPA

I'm a junior currently. I am an Indian (from India) Male. I live in GA.

Sophomore Year: APUSH (4), AP Lang (3)
Junior Year: AP Stat, AP Comp Sci, AP Chem, AP World History (took all exams except chem. I felt like I made at least 4 on the ones I took)
Senior Year: AP Macro, AP Calc AB, AP Calc BC, AP Lit (I plan on taking all the exams)

Extracurricular - National Honor Society, National Foreign Language Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, FBLA, Beta Club, Relay for Life

Achievements - 1st in Regional, 2nd in Sate, going to compete in Nationals. (All for FBLA)

So what are my chances? How important is the essay?

shameless bump.

UPDATE ON GPA - I made all A’s freshman and sophomore year but I messed up junior year and made a few B’s so I think my GPA is around the 3.6ish range unweighted. I will hopefully will make all A’s 1st semester of senior year so my GPA will be pulled into the 3.7-3.8 range unweighted.

High match

shameless bump. I need more opinions please

Another bump!

UPDATE ON COURSE- I got to Columbus High School in GA. (#1 in GA. Rigorous College Preparatory School) so all of my non AP classes are honors.

Also can someone tell me the difference between match and reach? I see high match, low reach, etc throughout the forum.

Safety - pretty much 100% chance of acceptance
Match - solid chance, you are level with accepted baseline
High match - between match and low reach
Low reach - some chance, you are somewhat below accepted baseline
High reach - really no chance

I would say match/high match for GT.

Thanks for your input teenbodybuilder! I appreciate it a lot. I’m really worried about getting accepted into GA Tech because of my SAT score and GPA. Hopefully I’ll pull myself into the 2000+ range in October.

Any input on how important/influential the essay(s) will be is also what I’m looking for. Thanks for anyone else that responds!

another bump! I would love more opinions please!

My Tae Kwon Do classmate got a 2070 and he’s going to GA Tech. He’s a junior.

Idk how but he somehow got accepted Junior year.

Thanks for the input! It does seem strange that he got accepted junior year. Maybe he has enough credits to graduate junior year?

Another bump!

bumpty bump bump

bump bump bump

UPDATE ON GPA- I did the math and my junior yr gpa is 3.8 unweighted. I did the math and figured out the worst possible GA Tech GPA (3.906) and the BEST GA Tech GPA (4.0).
