Chance me for Georgia Tech, WPI, Brown, UPenn

Hi guys
I want to do robotics engineering in WPI or CS in any other university(confused :P)
can you tell me how good are my chances at WPI, Georgia Tech, Brown, Upenn

I am Indian so will be applying as international

92% in 10th board

probably 75% in 12th mid(its not easy here)
I changed my board and city hence my marks went down
it is explained in common app essay

2100 in SAT I : 660 CR,800 Math,640 Writing

I am Vice President robotics society

I have won 2-3 national level competitions in robotics and gaming including college level

Won 6-7 state level competitions in robotics and gaming

I am working on an invention( basically a robot that would do stuff I cant tell :P)

Designed the fastest F1 in Schools Car for India (1.101 sec)

I have community service of 4 continuous years My robot is focused on ppl there :P

Summer Internship in Sony as laptop engineer

I have been doing projects using micro-controllers and arduino since 11th.

I was speaker in a few workshops on micro-controllers for school students.

Organised national tech symposiums which saw over 900 participants from 82+ schools.

I have LOR from HOD comp and HOD robotics
My essays are good enough

There are many more things(i think they arent worth mentioning) like national art winner in 8th etc etc.

So what do you guys think?

Just a note: Don’t mention anything on the Common App that you’ve done before 9th grade eg: national art winner etc

Other than that, although your SAT score is a little weak, I think some of your ECs make up for it and then some.

Georgia Tech - High Match
WPI - Low Match (I want to say safety but I don’t know how easy it is for an international student)
Brown - Reach
UPenn - Reach

Your SAT score is hardly ‘weak’

Brown: Reach
UPenn: Reach
WPI: Low match
GA Tech: High match

I totally forgot to mention but I need aid too :stuck_out_tongue:
What do you think are my chances now?
and how much aid can i get?

And which 1 is better Gtech or WPI(CS).

Georgia tech is better than WPI in CS

@ilaughinghouse, I don’t think it’s weak per se… but with international students, admissions is always a little harder, and a better SAT score than most other applicants for schools like Georgia Tech and the Ivies, where many applicants apply with scores 2200+, would help in my opinion.

Anyways, I think he has a pretty good chance at Tech and a very good chance at WPI regardless of his SAT score.

International students need to check the financial aid section on the websites of colleges they are applying to. If you do that, you will see that GA Tech doesn’t offer financial aid to internationals. At best they will coordinate loans if you have a U.S. cosigner.

lol BrownParent
I have done that
i missed to write the WPI one but i have read all that
and just to let you know i ll be taking loan if i get selected at GA Tech!!
