Chance me for Georgia Tech!

I applied early action for Scheller College of Business. I had decent essays (hopefully). I’m taking six APs and one and a half full weight DE classes this year. I’ve taken ten APs in total. Mostly 5’s or 4’s on my previous exams. I’m OOS. Here are my other stats:

  • 4.4 GPA (Unweighted)
  • I received A’s in all my classes.
  • Rank 10 out of 759
  • 1470 SAT score(680 - R, 790 - M, not super scored)
  • Founded two clubs (Model UN and a tutoring club for local elementary schools)
  • Business Lead for FTC Robotics, 2 years straight
  • Secretary for FRC Robotics. My team qualified for World Champs and Chairman’s Award (the most prestigious award)
  • Math Honor Society Member
  • Law internship
  • Youth Salute Leadership Nominee
  • Volunteer at Hospital
  • Camp Counselor for STEM Camp
  • Founded an IT program within my school to connect students
  • Database Specialist Certificate
  • Academic Letters/Principal Honor Roll -JV Cross Country in my Sophomore year

By the way, I’m just curious on what people think of my stats, I know that it’s a holistic review…Hopefully I get in! Thanks for taking the time to read through my okay-ish stats!

I would say your stats are all in the ballpark for serious consideration. Did you take the SAT more than once because GT will consider a super score if you have it? What will help make or break your application will be the rigor of your classes. As you said you have taken 10 APs and some DE, but not what they were. As long as you haven’t loaded up on the “easier” APs it should help.

I would agree with racereer in saying that academic rigor is heavily weighted at GT. Several people from my school have been rejected from GT in the past because their math and science coursework was not the hardest that the school offered, even with solid ECs and good test scores. Other than that, I would say that your chances of admission are strong.
