Chance me for getting in for Chemical Engineering?

My stats:
GPA (unweighted): 3.81
(weighted): 4.2

ACT: 29
SAT: 1790
Math: 590
Writing: 580
Crit Reading: 620
Class Rank: 20/180

I have been in Girl Scouts since I was 7 and I have tons of community service hours from that. I also have my Silver Award, not my Gold though (sort of like eagle scout). I am co-captain of my school's debate team and I have a couple other ec's. I have taken all honors core classes, and have had 4 AP courses out of the 6 my school offers.

Do you think I can get in? I didn't opt for summer session. I know that engineering is competitive so that is what worries me.

Not sure of the chances of getting into Chemical Engineering, but with a 590 Math SAT score, I think it would be a challenge completing the necessary curriculum if you did. Best of luck though. Work hard.

I am currently a freshman and I was admitted last year into the College of Engineering (intended Chem E). My GPA was similar to yours - my school didnt convert to a 4.0 scale, so I had 102% weighted, and was first in my class of 54. My SAT was 1780 (620 Math, 590 Writing, 570 Reading).

Good luck, and keep us posted!
