Please chance me (for at least one or two schools haha, don't expect you to do all), don't be afraid to be honest. Thanks so much!

bump! Thanks for reading

Dartmouth and Berkley- you have a great chance due to legacy and academics
Penn and Wash U- i think will be harder given the lack of your extracurriculars
The rest- i think you also have a great shot
It also depends where you live for some of the state schools. I’m not sure where you live, but your chances are substantially increased if your in state

The biggest issue is your EC’s. I have no idea how many hours you put in, but based on the fact that they are all after-school clubs it probably is not a ton. You also have no community service and minimal leadership (you actually have decent leadership, it is just minimal for the schools you are looking at. Your scores are great, though I am not sure if it will compensate…

Actually the Key Club is community service, and the officer status means I’ve accomplished a hif her number of hours than some others, sorry if that wasn’t clear! Also the tutoring program is volunteer work, as was saving it from being budget cut, so that’s probably an additional 50 hours a year. In any case, does anyone know how far into detail I should go with ECs? I have a job and I was also recognized by the community for my work with tutoring. Plus NHS and AP Scholar with Honor. Should I put that?

I would say that if you get your SAT over 2200, then you’d have at least a chance, albeit not a great chance, to the top-tier schools. The subject tests are to be desired, but your overall resume is pretty well rounded, I’d say. None of those schools are out of reach, I would say. It’d be nice if you had a bit more ECs to add to your resume, so try some new things this year, preferably outside of school. It shows initiative as well as motivation. (: If you don’t get admitted regular, take the chance to make your resume even more well rounded. Best of luck!
