Chance me for GTech, U Toronto, Michigan, and Purdue

I'm a Canadian currently in an international school in China. I'm applying to Georgia Institute of Technology, University of Toronto, University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and Purdue University. Planned Major: Computer Engineering.

Cumulative GPA: 4.12/4.5
Cumulative Rank: 25/261

SAT I Test: 2180 (CR: 720 / Math: 800 / Writing: 660)

SAT II Tests:
Physics: 800
Math L2: 800
Chemistry: 750

AP Tests:
Computer Science: 5
Macroeconomics: 5

Current Year Courses: AP Calculus/AP Physics/AP Microeconomics/Honors English/Honors Chemistry/Honors History/Chinese

I'd also like some college recommendations. Thanks

Oh and, I do have a number of extracurricular activities / volunteer work. But nothing that particularly stands out.

Thanks again.

U of M and Purdue: sure shot of acceptances! I don’t know much about the other schools to give much insight.

I’d also consider looking at Carnegie Mellon for its reputable CS program.

Toronto, Purdue, and Gtech should easily be low matches for you. If you’re a Canadian and not in a US secondary school, you won’t even need SATs for U Toronto.

@ collegepanics,
SAT 2180 is not a sure shot of acceptance for UMich CoE at all. It is just near the average for admission. It would be a match to high match. The acceptance rate for oos is around 30%.
For Purdue, it is a low match.
A match for GA Tech.

You will most likely get in everywhere you apply. Good job!

I’m applying for UGA, and I got deferred. However, UGA did not see my best scores and want to know if that will make the difference for me in regular decision.

I ALWAYS chance people back.

UMI: High match
U Toronto: Low match
GA Tech: Match/High match
Purdue: Low match/Match

@billcsho: Ah, shoot, you’re right…their engineering department is quite competitive (I was mixing it with their LSA…thanks for the correction.

I still hold my case for Carnegie Mellon (you have the scores for it) and Purdue…good luck! :)
