George Washington University: low reach
American: low/reach
Pitt: reach
Drexel: match
NYU: reach
George Mason U: low reach
It’s a little difficult to chance without an official SAT score. I think that there are a couple things to keep in mind:
- Try to raise your GPA as much as you can. Definitely try to get you UW GPA to at least a 3.5. A 3.75 would help even more.
- Keep working hard on practice tests so that you can get those scores (1900-1950). Luckily you’re a junior, so you can take it again in the fall before senior year if you aren’t happy with your scores.
- Would you try taking the ACT?
- Taking more AP classes would definitely raise the GPA. Maybe try taking an AP English senior year?
Your EC’s look good! The volunteering is a good plus, too. The only suggestions I have are to try to raise your GPA, and take a lot of practice tests to increase the likelihood of a high SAT score. Good luck!!
Chance me back please?

Definitely a reach for all with that low of a UW GPA. Drexel is the only match in the group with NYU being the only high reach. Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1791054-chances-for-uva-unc-wake-forest-vandy-george-washington-u-etc.html#latest

Im also interested in GW public health but I am a rising senior so we will see what happens this year…
@tigerrocks13 I just calculated my 9th/10th uw gpa and it’s a 3.62. Does that change anything?
Tough to tell until you get an official SAT or ACT score. Obviously doesn’t hurt!
