Chance me for Harvard (and yale and stanford)

Ok so I will keep it short and sweet! I never did one of these but I am just curious, either I go to these schools or stay at Emory (which I love).

I am a rising senior, however unlike typical seniors I was given the oppurtunity to spend my senior at Emory University (living on campus and taking classes) because of being an early admission applicant. Logically I could either apply to Harvard and possibly transfer my credits or stay at Emory for 4 years (which I am leaning towards). I love Emory, but we will see how it goes, I exhausted my courseload in high schol (took all 9 ap classes) so Emory gave me the oppurtunity to be a college freshman and a high school senior!!

Also I am a URM (Black) and just am curious if I stand a chance haha, I doubt it, but if not I will stay at emory as I planned, what do you guys think?

Since you could possibly be sorted as a transfer student by Harvard admissions, your chances look dim. Not only that, but your ACT score is incredibly low for H, transfer or not. Up the ACT score, take at least 2 SAT Subjects, and then your chances will be better.
That’s all I’m qualified to say. You might want to contact H and see whether you’ll be counted as a transfer or not.

You’d need to send your ACT into the 30s to have a viable chance. Even if you have record-setting XC times, your 27 would sink you.

Even so, I think you’re aware that *no one *has a good chance.

Best of luck to you on your endeavors.

And something you might want to consider is that AFAIK, Harvard does not give credit for courses taken at other institutions before enrolling at H (if you are applying as a freshman that is). A good thing though is that your 9 AP classes (especially if you got 5’s in at least 4 of them) will make you eligible for advanced standing hence you can get you degree in 3 years instead of the usual 4! :)

About your chances, F*** if I know! :stuck_out_tongue: Wish you all the best though! :)
