Drugs/alcohol-related disciplinary infraction my junior year

Other than your infraction (would it show up on your transcript/record?), you look pretty good.

Harvard, Stanford, and Chicago are always reaches given they have acceptance rates at 5-9%. NW is a lower reach, and UMich is a match. This is, of course, assuming that the infraction doesn’t become an issue.

Like the above poster said, aside from Michigan (being a state school) all of those are going to be reaches. Also, be open about the infraction, don’t try to hide it or lie about it, that just causes more harm than good.

Please, I bet Evelyn Hammonds has smoked the ganja too!

It doesn’t show up on the transcript, but I’m required to self-report. I obviously accept responsibility for it in my essay; I got caught up in a bit of a bad situation and learned from my mistakes. My school realizes this, and accepted me onto their disciplinary committee (picked by the Head of School personally, <20% acceptance rate) - I’ve turned a lot of things around and it shows in my app.
