<p>Hi. I'm an international student applying for the u.s. It is my dream since I was little.Now is the time and I find the application process a bit difficult for international's students. I would love to know what do you think about my grades, ec's etc...</p>

<p>Gpa: 3,8, probably 4.15(1ª quarter senior year)
Sat: Waiting for results( probably 1900) I´ll do it again in December.
Sat II: doing it in November ( Sat math I), Biology and Spanish
Ap classes not offered in my country (only in two schools)</p>

<li>Founder, CEO and CFO of "Go Youth conference"</li>
<li>Media manager at a tedx event in Potugal</li>
<li>Doing research with phd professors about forensic entomology at university of Lisbon</li>
<li>Implemented in school a project to save energy by re-utilizing oil and transforming it in biodiesel</li>
<li>founded and "run" a movement for a change in the educational system in my country</li>
<li>I write and i´m the school correspondent for a national magazine in Portugal</li>
<li>volunteer at the national food bank</li>
<li>team member and blog administrator for daphnia project in my high school</li>
<li>I was class president for two year in junior high ( i don´t know if they care about it)</li>
<li>Manager and founder of a "recycled books project", raising and buying old manuals and then distributing them to students who need the most</li>
<li>I'm in the political commission of a national wide party in the regional area( i´m in the youth section of the party)</li>
<li>I attended a program at university of Aveiro (Portugal) in the summer where I studied robotics, biology,etc</li>
<li>I practice tennis for 7 hours a week, being ranked as top 350 under-16 (back on those days) and ranked top 250 under-18 -- national rankings (where I compete with people who play for 10 years, and I just play for 4 years)</li>

<p>-1ª place in the high school prize for science research
- honorable mention in a national science contest in Portugal
- 6th place out of 250 in other national science contest
- Finalist in the science contest in Portugal, which is the qualifying contest for Intel Isef
- Finalist in Do Something awards Portugal in entrepreneurship category</p>

<p>P.s- i´m white and non of my parents have been in universities at u.s.</p>

<p>Your extracurriculars are amazing, but your GPA is average for many of your schools, and your SAT scores are well below average for most of the schools. It’s also hard to tell without AP exams and subject tests. Being an international student doesn’t help much either. With that being said, I think Harvard and Columbia are high reaches, but the other schools are all attainable due to your amazing ECs. I think you will get into Michigan, NYU, and BU, and maybe Cornell.</p>

<p>Incredible ECs, I know an international friend with a similar CV (energy saving movements in school, founded a company, science research) who got into Columbia. She didn’t have the rest of stuff you had like tennis, president of student body etc. She just had higher SATs and (i think) GPA… Can you raise your SAT? Try Columbia if you want to take the risk (its by no means a sure thing of course). She was wait-listed but sent in an extra letter and got in :slight_smile: Are you applying early any where?</p>
