Chance me for Harvard, Princeton, Caltech, MIT, UC, and Stanford

I wanna go to caltech but they’re gonna keel me lol. i applied EA to Caltech, MIT, and UChicago. Applying RD to Stanford, Princeton, and Harvard.

GPA : 3.62 UW lel busywork sux (apparently getting a gpa of pi is frowned upon freshman year lol jk)
ACT: 36 M, 36 S, 36 R, 34 English (RIP) (superscore, 35 best sitting)
SAT: 2340 (didn’t send)
SAT II : 800 MAth 2 , 700 + Chem/Physics <-- kinda weak i know

Your GPA will be a major impediment. I don’t consider your chances good at any of these schools. Your URM status might pull out some acceptances, but I have mostly seen successful URM applicants with the opposite profile: high GPA and middling test scores.

You should also submit the SAT score. It is very strong. I think you have a decent shot at UChicago, especially coming from Illinois. However, you need to be sure your essays are very strong. Good luck.

I agree with @CTlaywer’s analysis, as UChicago seems to be more likely than other schools to accept applicants with slightly lower GPAs and high scores, especially considering the upward trend.

I think you would have pretty good chances at some of the “non-Ivy Ivies” which don’t get quite as many applicants as the schools you’ve mentioned (and just in case it wasn’t clear, I know that Stanford, UC, etc. aren’t technically Ivies).
