Chance me for Harvard, Princeton, Upenn, Stern, etc

Hi guys. I'm starting to prepare for my regular applications, but right now I'm not entirely sure where I should to apply to.
I have to decide on my colleges really carefully because my school (international) put a limit of 6 schools we can apply to (which i think is really really stupid, annoying, and pointless), so i need to have a good idea of the sort of chances i might have.

I'm considering these schools:

Harvard University
Princeton University
University of Pennsylvania
Cornell University
NYU Stern
UC Berkeley + LA (all UC schools count as one application for us, which is kinda good i guess? lol)

Gender: M
Ethnicity: Asian
School: International

Grades/Scores
IB Grade: 42/45
Class Rank: top 10% (my HS counselor puts this down for everyone with an IB score of 40+)
Class Size: 170

SAT I: 2350 (CR 800, M 760, W 790)

SAT Subject Tests
Math Level 2: 790
Chemistry: 770
Korean with Listening: 790 (just took it because i thought I'd get 800, but blehhh)

TOEFL: 116

EC's
MUN (2 years)
Varsity Squash (3 years)
Varsity Football (1 year)
Founder of school's Community Service Team (4 yrs)
Co-Founder of schools Book Club (1 year)
Student Council (2 years)
Prefect (2 years)
Editor of school magazine (2 years)

Awards:
Best Delegate Award for MUN conference overseas
Harvard Book Prize
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award - Silver
and other school and service awards

Lots and lots of service (went overseas every summer for 4 years teaching underprivileged children)

Teacher recommendations are fairly good (i was actually really impressed by one of them)
Counselor rec is ok i guess, he has to write good things for everyone, but he doesn't really know us that well

I'm not sure what my safeties should be...I already sent in my UC apps so right now UCLA is kinda my safety school, but i'm not sure if i'm dreaming :P

Please Chance me! much appreciated :D

my common app essay is also pretty unique and interesting. my high school counselor and teachers really liked it, but my friends though differently though lol. but maybe its because they’re not used to the whole sort of common app essay writing style :P?

You’re a very qualified candidate, but the top schools have an admissions process that is just too enigmatic and erratic to make an accurate prediction. That said,

Harvard University - reach
Princeton University - reach
University of Pennsylvania - low reach
Cornell University - match
NYU Stern - match
UC Berkeley + LA - matches

I expect you to get into at least one ivy, probably Cornell. It is also possible that you are accepted to Harvard/Princeton, but those schools are reaches for almost everyone.

thanks a ton for the chance! really means a lot…

do you think i should still change one of my choices to a proper safety school? If UCLA isn’t guaranteed then i’m thinking of Boston U or U Washington…

You should have applied to more UCs. Would have been as easy as checking a few boxes. I personally dont think you’ll be rejected to every school. Probably 3% chance according to my order-of-magnitude calculation.

This is an extremely approximate chance you wont get into any.

0.95 * 0.9 * 0.8 * 0.65 * 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 * 0.5 = 3% or so

The last 0.5 I added to tilt the results to my intuition.

bump bump bump

Why NYU Stern & not Penn’s Wharton School of Business ?

Yeah, You don’t have a safety, but my guess is that you will get into NYU Stern and UCLA at the least. You should have probably Checked of UCSD or UCD for a safety… I think You have a good shot at Berkeley and you could get into Cornell. The other 3 will be really hard, however, UPenn is a little less hard then H or P.

Like everyone else says, youare qualified enough for Princeton and Harvard, but so are the majority of the people rejected. You really need some luck, and hope that your essay is really good. If you are qualified for them you are qualified for any school, and you defenitley should get into at least multiple ones on your list, though I can’t say for sure which ones. Good luck!

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1418125-chance-me-duke-other-top-schools.html

I was thinking about Wharton, but then again Wharton is much more selective than UPenn itself so that would mean I have 3 reaches…

Do you think my EC’s are a bit weak or typical/boring in the admissions pool? also do book awards count for anything at all? (by book award i mean like Princeton Book Award, or Harvard Book Prize as i listed above)

bump!!!
