THANKS AND HAVE A GREAT DAY

Awesome work! @fatimacubillas.

I hope you get into one of the schools you want!

Hook will help a lot, I think you could honestly get into HYC even though you don’t wanna go.
Your EC’s are pretty strong, though if you don’t get published for your research that might be weird. Academics are also good. Def a competitive applicant.

Your essay and rec letters will matter a lot, but you will likely be competitive. How have others at your high school done over the past few years as far as applications to these top-level schools are concerned?

Based on your GPA and test scores, you are a smart enough to realize that especially HYC, but really all of the schools on your list, all turn away thousands of competitive applicants every year.

I think you have a reasonable shot at getting into at least one of the schools on your list, but I would not be shocked if you were denied at multiple schools on your list based solely on the numbers game - too many applicants for too few slots.

Best of luck.

yeah, lol im in the crapshoot category (WOO!). im also planning on doing the National College Match! do you think that will help with my stats? If you know what that is?

And thanks!

Personally I think you might be right above the crapshoot category considering you are URM and have a spike in environmentalism. I don’t think the national college match really gives you that much of a boost in admissions based on a quick search, the finalist percentage was pretty high (1/3) and it’s only for one college, it seems.

Wow!! You have a shot!!!

Are you really first gen - in that your parents didn’t attend any college? That’s a big hook these days, along with your URM and low-income. Three hooks (colleges might combine urm and low-income into one) with your stats is pretty unique. Your work on the green club and organizing walkouts will be important too, adcoms love that kind of stuff. You’ll need a third SAT 2 for Georgetown, if you’re serous about applying there. USC, - you’re in. Georgetown, Northwestern, Penn, you have a really good chance of getting in to one of those three, but it’s kind of hard these days to predict which one. I would seriously consider applying SCEA to Stanford or Yale, and see what happens. Good luck!

You are a competitive applicant. Your stats and ECs are great. Your URM hook will probably help your application. Write amazing essays and you could get accepted to any of these schools
