Biotechnology Laboratory Experience for Arizona Students: Internship, summer intensive course were taught latest biotechnology techniques
Youth Engaged Stewardship: Youth leader. Conservation work at Las Cienegas (Tucson and Vail’s primary water source) the Cienega Watershed Partnership,and the Bureau of Land Management partnership. Restored pond for habitat Arizona endangered species including Gila chub and leopard frogs. Organized volunteer day. Mapped sacaton grassland vegetation for BLM.
KEYS Research Internship: Prestigious, highly competitive University of Arizona internship. Worked 300 hours in a professional UA lab to deliver our own projects to highly-respected UA faculty. Studied drug encapsulation under a Ph.D.
