Nice everything haha
I think you have a great chance at Harvard, but it’s still at least a Low Reach

Good Luck

Thanks! Good to know that I have a chance–never doubted that it was at least a low reach. :)

I’d say that Harvard is a reach for you. Your stats and academic awards are fantastic - top notch to be honest! But I think your ECs are a little on the weaker end for Harvard applicants. Nevertheless Harvard is always looking for the great academic, stat-oriented minds as well so I’d say you have a better shot than most applicants!

It’s disappointing you didn’t actually do any real math, only USAMO and USAJMO competition type math. Did you just stop after BC?

It’s disappointing that you want from BC -> MV Calc in 3 years.

@whartondreamer Thank you for your input; I appreciate it. I was concerned about my ECs, as well, but I’m glad to hear that I can still stay hopeful.

@PurePhysics Disappointing to you personally or from a general admissions perspective? I took the two remaining math courses at my school, Linear Algebra and AP Stats, in sophomore and junior years, respectively. Thank you for letting me know–I know I do not plan on doing competition math in college and acknowledged in an essay that the most important thing I got out of math contests was the community. I can attest that doing math competitions has helped my speed and acuity.

It would have been time better spent to go out and learn some real math. Truly wasted time to take 4 years to take calc, linear, stats, and MV. It’s a shame really, you would have been a much stronger candidate if you would have spent the time invested into USAMO doing real math.

You have a shot- just make sure your essays are great, they are the deciding factor oftentimes.

Are you really 15 years old?

@solipsisme I’m 15, yes, but it doesn’t make any difference in admissions…

Better shot than most, but that still means your chances would be fairly low.

You seem like the type of student that Harvard accepts but I would say it is unlikely is your Harvard essay is weak. That is where you need to be strongest- it is where they see how you would fit at their school and what of person you are. If it is weak then I wouldn’t expect an acceptance letter.

The rest of your application is great! Your ECs are quality. The only issue I see with your ECs is that they are one dimensional (meaning they are all academic related). If you can make your Harvard essay great then you have as good of a shot as anyone! But even then you have to keep in mind the aspect of randomness in college admissions.

estimated regular decision acceptance rate for harvard this yr is 2.9%.
