I received a 28 on the ACTs both times, but it is a 29 super scored. I have a 3.7 unweighted GPA on a 4.0 scale and a 4.5 weighted GPA, taken AP Statistics, and I’m currently taking AP English, AP Calculus AB, and AP Physics. My class rank is 20 out of 348. I’m the Theater Board President, Student Council Delegate, Freshmen Mentor, Mascot, Morning Announcer, NHS Fundraising Officer, very active in my church, and I participate in a lot of theater around my state. What do you think my chances are?
Your stats are very good, are you a Junior? I’m being recruited to Holy Cross for the 2019 class as a swimmer and they told me my scores were solid (3.8 GPA, 1310 SAT) and we share some of the same EC’s (NHS Vice President, Student Council Treasurer) so I think you have a good chance as well. Maybe don’t send in ACT because they are test optional, I probably won’t either. Hope to see you there in the future!
Hey @futurepres1019 I’m actually a senior and I was accepted to Holy Cross! Hopefully I see you there in two years!
@futurepres1019, older daughter will be attending HC next year, and rising junior loved the campus. She also happens to be a competitive swimmer. Can I ask about your feel for the team? We were looking for a listing of their times to see if she was in range but couldn’t find anything on line.
Hi to all, i am a parent of a prospective student from athens, greece ( both me and my son are us citizens). We plan to apply early decision in november 2019. Some of my son’s stats
- gpa 17 out 20
- very good in ancient greek, history, literature courses, probably the best of his class.
- good in german
- chess player in a team
- basket ball player in a team, member of his school team
I assume he will bet good to excellent lettets of recommendation from his history/literature teachers…
Given that he is interested in greek and latin do you give him any chances being accepted eatly decision? Will it count somehow that he is from greece?
Many thanks in advance,
Basil
