Chance me for Honors with this SAT score. Please?

I really want to get into the Burnett Honors College. I'm sending in two counselor recommendations, a teacher recommendation, the personal statement, and an old band leadership essay along with my application. I have an unweighted GPA of 4.149 and a weighted GPA of 3.766.

The only thing that worries me are my SAT scores. I have an 1080/1600 or 1780/2400. Are scores something they really look into? I've done so many extra-curriculars and I've kep such good grades. I would hate to not get in just because of a score.

What are my chances?

Their site does not give SAT range but does mention that they take them into account:

“The admission process involves a comprehensive review of the applicant’s academic background, standardized test scores, personal statement, and activities and interests. Admission to The Burnett Honors College is very selective, and admitted freshmen typically represent the top 10% of freshmen at UCF”

Most honors colleges want students with at least 1300/1600 SAT scores but exceptions are always made. I’m guessing UCF is the same but I don’t really know.

Letloose: Test scores are extremely important. We had the opportunity to attend the Honors Open House and was provided a good bit of info. If you search my other posts, it’ll provide the details. Suggestion: retake the SAT or take the ACT; I believe there are still test dates available. Also make yourself known to the Honors team, especially if you get deferred. This way they know you are serious and will do whatever it takes to get in. Otherwise, they’ll simply compare applications. Good Luck!! I hope you get in.
