<p>African American/Latina Female
Currently a junior, attending a high school in rural community.
Transferred to three different schools due to relocation.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.8 unweighted on 4.0 Scale</p>

<p>One mishap on transcript: Sophomore year, first semester in Honors Algebra II - I received a D. I had a hard time due to my parent's divorce. Next semester I received an A in regular algebra II. Will this effect my chances?</p>

<p>SAT: 1600 overall, 1050 combined; Reading 580 Math 470 (Weak area!) Writing 550
I plan to retake it at least twice next year, along with the ACT.</p>

<p>My course load includes all college preparatory classes, AP classes, as well as Dual Enrollment courses at a community college. </p>

<p>(I was wondering whether Howard accepts DE credits from community colleges?)</p>

<p>I plan to major in Pre-Med/Biology. Applying Early Action, plan to start on application process over the summer!</p>

<p>Please inform me on my chances of getting accepted and whether I will have a chance at a scholarship. Howard is my first choice! :)</p>
