<p>US citizen living in South Korea (Korean Ethnicity)
Applied for Early Decision</p>

<p>Can you please chance me for Human Biology, Health, and Society major at the College of Human Ecology</p>

<p>I am from a tiny private school (class size is 18) that does offer AP or honors classes</p>

<p>SAT I (breakdown): 2250 single sitting (R:740 M:790 W:720)
SAT II: 800 Math II, 800 Chem, 760 Physics
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0
AP/IB: None</p>

<p>ECs: Hundreds of volunteer hours of at ER, pharmacy, and mobile clinic of local hospital
Official Interpreter between Korean and English at my school
President/Vice-president of Math, Business, and Spanish Clubs (9,10,11,12)
President of school prefects (11,12), Class president (9,10)
Hardly any awards/honors because school gives out very few awards</p>

<p>Essays: I think they are good
Teacher Recs: Great
Counselor Evaluation: Did not see</p>

<p>Will not having APs like most applicants hurt my chances?</p>

<p>I don’t think that not taking any AP courses will hurt your chances…though I can’t say for sure since I did take them in high school…</p>

<p>But your ECs look great and your SATs are better than what mine were when I applied</p>

<p>If your essays and recommendations are great then I think you have a great chance of getting in (I’m currently a junior in HumEc)</p>

<p>If your school does not offer AP / IB classes it will not be held against you. As long as your GC marked “most rigorus courses” box on the common app. you’ll be OK</p>
