Chance Me Plz? thanks!

SAT II Chinese is not going to help you if you are a Chinese.
You need to reduce the number of EC’s.

HYP are high reaches for everybody unless you have a major hook.
Good luck!

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1034801-yale-penn-chicago-chance-ill-chance-back.html
i think that HYP is a high reach also. be sure to apply as a math major. maybe apply yale scea

taking ap chinese and chinese sat iis is not that impressive if you are a native chinese speaker. wow, you have almost too many ecs, how do you have time for them all. i think admissions officers are going to think you are either really exaggerating or completely overcommitted.
i would eliminate some of the ones that aren’t a big commitment or don’t mean much to you, because looking at that list is kind of overwhelming.
unless you have something really unique about you, HYP is a major reach for everyone who applies. i’d say you have as good a shot as anyone else who is applying.
Good luck :)

I’m not a native speaker :(

Are sat I ok as it is)

Are sat I ok as it is?

HYP is a reach for everyone, so I don’t know why you made this thread. You seem to be heavily involved both inside and outside of school. You test scores a fairly strong and your GPA is great. Your only downfall is the lack of a distinct passion for something (laundry list EC’s). Better than average chance, but still not that great. Good luck!
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1033742-chances-various-universities-top-tier-others.html

my speciality ec would be violin performance (1) and math competitions (2)

I say HYP are a mid reach probably. You do have good test scores, and a really good GPA. You are gifted in math and playing the violin, but it seems that these two activities are common for elite schools like HYP. You do have a shot, but make sure to have some schools where you are way more likely to get in. You have an extensive resume, but frame your app so it doesn’t look like a laundry list  Good luck!

Chance back please:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1027620-brown-ed-chances-i-chance-back.html

HYP: Reach

You’re grades are excellent and your test scores are very good too. You have a good shot, but they’re reaches for everyone.

Chance back please: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1039693-chance-me-these-schools-ill-chance-back.html

should i take the SAT I again despite the 680 in CR?
