<p>Hi hi hi :DD</p>
<p>I'm new to College Confidential!! I'm a senior this year. I plan to apply to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Columbia, Stanford, and Amherst. I'm wondering what my chances are of getting into one of the elite colleges. Here are my stats:</p>
<p>GPA: UW 3.85
SAT 1: 2400 (12 on essay)
SAT II: MathIIC (800), Chinese with listening (750 but I'm not Chinese)
AP: Seven 5's and two 4's, BUT I didn't take any history or science course except Computer Science A
TOEFL: 117
High school: One of the most competitive international schools in Asia. Sends around 30 students out of 200 graduates every year to top schools in the US, UK, and Asia</p>
<p>EC (From the most to the least important)
Mu Alpha Theta member (Math was always my strongest subject..)
Ran an online mall on Chinese website with other club members in 11th grade
Part of a school-based investment club- we basically invested fundraised money on Chinese farmers to financially support them growing crops, etc
Applied Statistics Club member (We just did some random stats-related discussion. Math geeks. -.-)
Leader of a fundraising group of around 20 ppl for 2 yrs and donated money for cancer research~ which was quite a success <3
3 yrs of school musical
Member of the International Honor Thespian Society
Part of the school representative at International Choir festival for 2 yrs
Cross Country for 2 yrs including the preseason, got a coaches' choice award(:</p>
<p>My strengths
1. Math (2 years of honors class, 5 on both AP Calc BC and AP Stats, Mu Alpha Theta member)
2. Tri-lingual (English, Korean, Chinese. Not as fluent as a Chinese local, but still okay-ish. 5 on AP Chinese exam, 750 on SAT 2 Chinese, have passed HSK level 6 exam which is the highest)
3. Upward GPA slope every year (3.7 ish in freshman year, 3.8 ish in soph, and 4.0's in junior)
4. I always got really nice comments from my teachers on the report!! :) They all said I'm a very bubbly and outgoing, engaging, inquisitive, yet a very responsible student. lol pretty sure these will help</p>
<p>Weaknesses
1. Lack of awards (Only have some CMC awards, AP awards, and a Cross country coaches' choice award, yada yada yada. I mean these awards are great and I'm really happy ^^!! but there's no actual "distinct" award
2. I'm an International applicant -.-.-.-.-.- can you hear my chances falling down already like ↘↘↘ :(
3. NO HISTORY OR SCIENCE AP COURSE except AP Com Sci A. Yes I didn't take AP Bio, Chem, Physics, AP US History, etc etc. Do these really matter at elite schools???!
4. Lack of leadership positions, debate club stuffs, sports varsities, generally what others usually have on their resumes</p>
<p>Chance me please? I'm an international applicant so I'm quite worried. I've never even been in the US. -.-
