<p>Hi guys, my brother, who is going into his senior year, wants some chances. Here are his qualifications (this post is written by him).</p>

<p>Age: 18
Nationality: Israeli
Speaks: English, Hebrew, Spanish (took up to AP Spanish and speaks nearly fluently)
SAT I: 2380
SAT II: (all 800): Chemistry, Mathematics II, Physics, Biology, US History, Spanish (with listening)
ACT: didn't take
Family income: 50-60K (mom unemployed, dad as construction)
Live in California
GPA (unweighted): 4.00
GPA (weighted with AP's as 5, everything else 4): 4.66
Rank: 2/550</p>

<p>Schedule (got all A's for all classes)</p>

Honors Algebra 3-4 (some call this Honors Algebra 2?)

Digital Media 1-2 (for the computers requirement)</p>

AP Physics "C" Mechanics (5 on exam)
AP Chemistry (5 on exam)
AP European History (4 on exam)

All 4 years quiz bowl starting player, coached the team for 11th and 12th grade
All 4 years academic team starting player and coach for 11-12th grade
All 4 years Science Olympiad, got 1st place in chemistry lab and a few other events, treasurer for 12th grade
NHS for 11th-12th grade
Big one: Chemistry Olympiad Honors (top 150) in 10th grade, and then made it to the USNCO Chemistry Camp at the United States Air Force Academy, to compete for a spot on the internation team (as one of 20), didn't make it to the international but still got to camp
Chemistry and math tutoring</p>

<p>Will be getting some really really really good letters of recommendation this year, and is a talented writer with pretty good essays.</p>

<p>Is he a permanent resident? If so Questbridge will allow him to apply to MIT, Yale, Princeton EARLY.</p>

<p>He has good chances to get into one or two of the top 6 in the list. If UCLA and UCB don’t accept him, there must be something wrong with California state schools.</p>

<p>I think he has a very good chance. He has strong grades, test scores, class rank and EC’s!</p>

<p>Because of your science activities (not because of your high SATs),</p>

<p>Great chances (almost safety) at UCB and UCLA
Decent chance of getting into 1 or 2 of HYPSM.</p>

<p>I think you have a good chance of getting in! If you don’t, it was probably just bad luck, because you have the stats! </p>
