Thoughts/criticism are welcomed!!! Thanks!

Thanks! I do indeed plan on doing Huntsman ED. As for the SAT II Spanish, my school’s Spanish courses are all focused on IB versus AP…and the SAT II is very similar to the AP. I kind of had to self study. I don’t plan on retaking it though.

Huntsman @ Penn / Wharton (ED): Reach/Low Reach
Harvard: High Reach
Stanford: Reach
UChicago: Reach
Northwestern: Match
Berkeley: Slight Reach/High Match (OOS)
BPE @ NYU: Match

I agree with the previous post in that you will probably ( >50%) get into at least one of your target schools (Huntsman, Stanford, Harvard). However, remember that admission to top schools can be a little hectic at times.

In addition, you have amazing ECs, a very solid GPA, and great SAT II Scores. However, I would suggest only sending in your ACT score because a 35 on the ACT is roughly equivalent to a 2360 on the SAT I. Other than that, I think you would definitely be a very strong candidate this fall. Write a good essay that reflect your interest and activities and you’re good to go!

Best of luck!

Chance me back? : )

Thanks! But most of the schools I’m applying to want me to send them all my scores from the Collegeboard and ACT Inc. My SAT I will not hurt me right? They’d just replace it with the ACT?

@kubiler72: If thats the case, then you have to send all your scores. Keep in mind that admission officers are not robots – they will not just ignore your SAT score. However, they will most probably take your ACT score into much higher regard if thats what you’re asking. Don’t worry too much about it. Your ACT score will definitely help you a lot haha

Best of luck again!

Already chanced back. :)

From you’re grades, test scores, ECs, etc. it’s clear that you’re a really strong applicant. I would be surprised if you didn’t get into NYU, Northwestern, or U of C. You have a good chance at Berkeley. As for the other schools:

Harvard/Stanford: More or less crap shoots for everyone.

Huntsman/Penn: There was a time when Penn was my first choice (because of Huntsman), so I do have some knowledge of the program. Applying ED only helps your chances. However, Spanish is the most common target language, so the competition is the most intense. A 740 on the Spanish Subject test is decent for the program; with your grades/test scores, though, you should have a good shot.

Would you mind chancing me back?

Thanks! Do you think it’ll be more of a hook if I’m an Asian applying for Spanish? A Huntsman alumni told me that was true.

Haha I know. Thanks anyway!

Any more opinions from CCers?
