Ok I am a senior at a public school in Georgia. A pretty good one, not great, but pretty competitive. Here are my stats

Applying to Ivy league schools, Stanford, Duke, Ga tech, UGA

I’d say you are pretty competitive. There are 3 weaknesses that can point out if you want to get nitty-gritty.

Rank of 19 is not great

SATs COULD be better. I’d say that 750+ on every section is a must

Great Science EC’s. However I don’t see that manifested in many awards?

UGA and Ga tech are yours. Duke is probably yours and Stanford is gonna be tough

Greeeeeeeat stats

Chance me please.
Mixed race (white + hispanic)
4.0 GPA
5’s on 5 AP’s, plan on taking 3 more this year

Class rank of 5 out of 500
What are my chances for Stanford, U of Chicago, and the ivies?

likely rejection from stanford, likely acceptance to everywhere else

Thanks guys for the input, I just retook the SAT, waiting to get my scores back. Im still in contention for many awards and will find out how i did soon

Ill get some good letters of rec from English and Chem teachers

how can you be a NM Finalist? Those aren’t announced yet
but, I’d say you get into 1 Ivy, No to Stanford, yes to everything else

Im a NMSQT semifinalist right now but im 99% sure ill be a finalist

I think you are definitely competitive. You will probably get into most of those and maybe even Stanford:) Do you plan on applying ED anywhere?

Yeah I applied Early Action to UGA, I might apply SCEA to Stanford

Definitely apply SCEA to Stanford if you really want to go there. The more that you do to increase your chances, the more likely you’ll be admitted. Best of luck!
