Fell in love with the campus since my visit and there was no turning back. Before I was just this “ok” student that kinda did well with an “ok” SAT, but after I really found the drive to excel, especially after reading the requirements of the Stanford Admissions…
@Noahfireih@anan235qwerty I would ask the same question. Does the app raise rape awareness? Victim recovery? How many downloads does it have? Are there reviews of people that believe that the app was the difference that made them no become a victim? This may or may not be a great addition, we just need more details!
@manspeak2u Thanks for replying! If you think you’re in trouble the app lets you contact your friends, family, police, WHL just by shaking your phone and it also has a scream detect feature. It has 15k downloads. We’ve actually saved lives.
Thanks! This is unfortunately so sad- the extremely high rape in India. I’ve been interested in the topic for awhile. I’ve even read about an app that summons a private security force when a woman is in danger. And another issue is that the police in India are not always trusted by the women there. My D has been interested in travel to India but unfortunately I’ve discouraged it unless it’s with family or in group travel. And we love traveling. And I love that my children want to seek out adventures. But I’m very very wary of a woman traveling on her own in India. Good luck with your apps.
