Chance me for Ivies/Stanford please!

Hey guys, I just finished sophomore year and I was hoping you could chance me for the Ivy League schools and Stanford.

ACT (breakdown): 35 E(35), M(34), R(33), S(36)
SAT II: Haven’t taken any yet…
Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): 4.0
Weighted GPA (out of 6.0): Not quite sure…
Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): Not quite sure…
AP (place score in parenthesis): Took AP Statistics and AP US History but I’m still waiting on those scores!

I’m one of the most advanced kids in my grade academically-wise. I am one of the few sophomores taking AP classes, and next year nearly every single one of my classes is an AP class.

Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.):

Based on what I got last October, I’m pretty sure I can plan on being at least a National Merit Semifinalist and National AP Scholar.
National Spanish Exam Gold Medalist
Science Olympiad State Medalist
National Honor Society

Extracurriculars (place leadership in parenthesis):

Mentorship in a lab at the world renowned hospital in my community for junior year. I plan on completing a paper and doing Science Fair. I would love to go to State and potentially even Intel!

I’m extremely active in leadership roles in my community.

I applied for the Minnesota Youth Council and plan on applying for the United States Youth Senate program. I’m also on…

[My county’s] Youth Commission (created an award-winning Public Service Announcement on suicide awareness)
Executive Committee of [my county’s] Youth Commission
-Co-Chair of Executive Committee

[My county’s] Environmental Commission student representative
[My county’s] Community Advisory Committee student representative

All my commissions take up a huge part of my time and mean a lot to me.

Science Olympiad (Varsity Letter)
Regional Medalist, State Medalist (especially good in anatomy)
Will most likely be a captain senior year.

I am a member of the National Spanish Honors Society and am a National Spanish Exam Gold Medalist.

I volunteer at the world renowned hospital in my community and will most likely be a Team Leader (one of the leaders of the program) next year and am hoping to be on the Co-Council (one of two heads of the program).

For junior and senior year, I plan on being involved in…
STEM Society
Knowledge Bowl
Model United Nations
Speech Team
H.O.P.E. Club
KEY Club
LINK Crew
FIRST Robotics

I also plan on doing National History Day next year and could hopefully make it to State and even Nationals.

I also play piano.

Also, is there anything else I could be doing to increase my chances?

I’m a Caucasian female if that helps! Thanks guys!

If you keep the 4.0 through next year you’re competitive for Stanford. Now, all you have to do is get the grades, write some engaging essays and solicit a few glowing recommendations.

Have you played on a high school sports team?

I don’t know much about college entrances, but at a glance your current academic standpoint and your achievements look great. From what I heard, leadership is valued by colleges, and that will definitely help, along with your extracurricular activities and achievements. If you maintain this I think you will be very competitive for top colleges.

Keep in mind that despite your amazing transcript, ACT score, and extracurriculars, a school such as Stanford is a reach for everyone applying. This would include all the ivies as well, but keep doing what you are doing and you are bound to get into a great school.

Thanks for the chance on my post!
You seem like a very math and science oriented person. Nice job on the science olympiad award. Whcih topic was it in? Was it related to your major? Ivys are difficult but you have a great shot. Good luck!!!
