Chance me for Ivies

Hi everyone, chance me for Yale, Brown, Dartmouth (deferred), Harvard, and UPenn.

GPA: 3.7 Unweighted, 4.1 Weighted
Courseload: Not MOST rigorous, but pretty rigorous (4 APs by graduation, school offers something like 16 APs)
Rank: Top 10% definitely...maybe like 18 or 19/400
SAT: 2400
SAT 2: 750 Spanish, 790 Math 2, 640 Physics, 750 Math 1
APs: Spanish Lang 4, Currently taking BC Calc, Spanish Lit, and English Lang

ECs:
Soccer (Varsity 12)
Indoor Track (Varsity 11 and 12, captain 12)
Outdoor Track (Varsity 11 and 12)
National Spanish Honor Society
National Honor Society Secretary
Environmental Club

Lived in Peru for 6 months during high school because my parents had a job there.

Essays: OK. I rushed them and I do not consider myself a great writer. I'd say 5 to 6 out of 10, but I'm hoping that they won't hurt.
Recs: Good, possibly great. I don't know, I haven't read them.

Summers:
Trip to Mexico (one of those foreign family stay programs)
Trips to Bermuda (2 during high school, with a science class)
Took art and music classes

Bump…10char

Your SATs are goingt o be your strong point, but your GPA is pretty low and you don’t have anything that really distinguishes you, namely something that reflects your passion about a certain field of study that not many others have

^ Agreed. Also, the lack of effort/passion in your essays will hurt you, especially with the Ivy League, I believe they look at your personal statement as a major component of your application. I’d have to say that all of them are high reaches, but you will probably get accepted into a lower-Ivy (Dartmouth, Brown or UPenn, most likely the latter [just a guess]).

do you have a passion? and what did you write your essays about?

if you’re passionate about something and showed it in your app, i think Brown would be a pretty good bet.

Not particularly, I guess I never really considered these schools before my SAT score lol

SAT are great, good GPA, probably could’ve taken a few more APs… but then your school doesn’t offer too many so that won’t really count against you. I’d say the essays may hurt you (should’ve spent more time on them). I’d say it’ll be a low reach for Harvard & Yale and a match for the others.
