I am going to be a junior in the fall of 2014-2015.
Could you please chance me for UMD, George Washington, Brown, Johns Hopkins and the other Ivy leagues?

<p>I don’t think megametalhead means you WON’T get into the Ivies. Just that admission there cannot be guaranteed. You are certainly in the running for the most elite schools. That’s as much as anyone can predict.</p>

<p>AP courses do two things. First, they give you an opportunity to take rigorous courses and demonstrate your ability to handle college-level work. Two, depending on the college/university, they give you an opportunity to place out of (usually) freshman-level courses.</p>

<p>I suppose a consistent pattern of really bad scores on AP tests could hurt your admission chances at very good schools. But it’s my impression that scores of 3+ will almost be ignored. The important thing is taking the classes, earning good grades in them, and maintaining a good class rank.</p>
