Chance me for ivy potential

Some people that chanced me for Vanderbilt suggested that I look at the ivies..I always felt that they were out of reach for me, but can anyone tell me if I really do have a chance (particularly at Cornell)? If not, what would be some good match schools?

honest down to earth opinions are appreciated. you won’t shatter any dreams…

bump bump bump

What kind of high school do you go to? By that I mean what is its track record with getting kids into ivies?

Your gpa/rank is not great but your sat score makes up for that. I think you should definitely apply to at least Cornell. It’s a crapshoot for anyone but you should have a chance at least there

you have pretty nice stats. a lot of other students have similar stats and ECs so you should definitely play up your individuality (maybe something to do with your art? idk) in your essays.

i go to a small public school with 150 people per grade and maybe 5 or so get accepted into ivies each year. i’d say we’re a pretty competitive bunch though…

and yeah i’ve been told my gpa is on the lower end for ivy league, but will my sat scores really make up for that??

SATs can’t compensate much for gpa/class rank. It is just a factor.
