Chance me for Ivy's/top schools?

I'm looking at WashU and Northwestern mainly, but my shameless dream schools are Duke (!), UPenn, UC, Brown, and Yale. Safeties are University of Illinois Champaign and U of M.

Ethnicity/Gender: Asian girl

Thanks for taking a look. I'll chance you back!

None of those should be shameless dream schools! You’re an incredible qualified applicant for ANY university!

CHANCES:
-WashU: low reach
-Northwestern: high match
-Duke: low reach
-UPenn: mid reach
-UC: (which one? Assuming Berkeley, the best, I’d say low reach)
-Brown: mid reach
-Yale: high reach

If I were you, I would apply to 2 reaches, 2 matches, and 2 safeties: UMich, UIUC, WashU, Northwestern, Duke, another reach

Good luck :)

Thanks so much!

You have pretty good credential. What is your intended major and where is your home state? Your only weakness is in your uw GPA and SAT2 Physics. If you are not from Michigan, I would not call UMich a safety but a match to low match as your uwGPA is below average and their acceptance rate is quite low for oos.

Hey guys, can you tell me my chances at the Ivies/Stanford?
2250 SAT I
800 Math II 790 Chem
top 2% of my class, 4.0 GPA
founder of 2 clubs for international organizations
3x NSE gold medalist
raised $15,000 for an international organization, did charity work
300+ quality community service working with special-needs
raised $900 for local disasters in my area
I am an asian male.
I am trying to cater my essays towards a passion for volunteering

You should get into UIUC and UM- the privates you listed are all reaches as no one really knows what they seek each new year. My son will be starting at WUSTL this fall- showing interest should help. What are you planning on studying?

Hi! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1533018-chance-me-please-i-chance-back.html

what weighted system does your school use?

your golf accomplishments are really impressive as well as your other activities  what are you planning to major in out of curiosity?

other than the unweighted GPA, nothing should hinder you. I’d say

Duke, Yale, Brown, UPenn - low reach, as they are for the qualified applicants
UC(B, LA), WashU, NW - high match
UC(others), Illinois/U of M - safety

Your stats are great! Be aware Washu is not need blind so they could take your family income into account. I would say
Northwestern, WashU, Brown- high match
Duke, UPenn, Yale, UC- low reach

Make sure to make your passions and EC involvement shine in your essays. If you could change anything, you should take another subject test and try to get a 750+ so you would not have to send the 680.

Cheers!

This is somewhat an old post but i still came across it some way. People above have asked for your intended major and state residence, but you haven’t answered them. After reading your post, i too have the same damn two question. Without knowing that nobody can chance you.

I am making a guess that you are from Illinois, as you mentioned UIUC to be a safety.
