Ivies are reaches for anybody. Your gpa and test scores (assuming you got above 2200) are pretty good, as are your ec’s. I think it will come down to your essay. I would suggest writing one about an activity that means the most to you, and show the impact it had on you, even if you only started it this year. Best of luck!

@rsingh13- Thanks! I am really gonna try to write a good essay so my fingers are crossed =)

I think you could get into a lower Ivy, as long as you bring up your SATS to >2250, which you seem confident about. Otherwise, your stats are excellent, and I don’t think your ECs are too scattered. Maybe look for a way to combine writing and medicine, perhaps with a medical research paper that you work on through the summer. Right now they seem like your strongest two passions, because though “sports” shows, the cricket club will be nothing more than a leadership position since it was only one year, and as you probably won’t be playing a varsity sport (sorry, just an assumption, correct me if I’m wrong), colleges won’t see that as much of an stand-out quality.

In the meantime, medicine and writing are both very “marketable” passions that you can pursue, especially at Penn. Definitely research the opportunities in those fields, including research, at any school you want to go to. Then write one of your essays about why you’re a perfect match for those schools because of your passion in that area and I think you’ve got an excellent chance. (The exception - if you happen to be looking at the special medicine path at Brown, I’d chance you as a high reach, since that’s really competitive.)

This was my first chancing ever, so I hope it’s helpful! :D

As mentioned before, your EC too scattered… Try to get wm more centralized
