Writing is my strong point, writing and Social sciences[politics/law]
Editor in Chief by Senior year for sure. I got a column for next year, an editorial column on my newspaper, only seniors get it but I got it somehow. I plan to get published in many different teen publications. Im trying to write a book; lets see how that works out.
I plan on winning MANY essay competitions. Im not one of those crazy math-science genius's but I am a very very determined and hardworking person.

So my interests, as a person, History/politics/humanities/Arab world/Terrorism/Middle East conflicts. I am Muslim so all these area's of study are very pertinent to me and I have extensive knowledge of the matters.

I know a lot about Islam/Middle east. Religion is really important to me, (I plan to write my essays on the importance of religion and doing good/being active members of society). Im not Palestinians but I have a lot of interest in the Israel-Palestine Conflict. I plan to be in Jamaah Club(Muslim Club) for 4 years. President in my last year, I am currently a Public Relations officer, next treasurer then president. I have and will continue fundraiser money for civilians in Palestine. Also!! I will be a member of Jewish Student Union for four years. I like hearing their side of the story and I have organized interfaith meetings.

I know how to read/write Arabic. I fluently speak and understand Urdu/Hindi (Indian-Paki language). Ill have 4 years worth of Chinese, 3 years of Latin. ..Thats Arabic+Urdu+Chinese+Latin+English. 5 of some of the most spoken languages in the world. Mandarin Chinese (836 million), Hindi (333 million), English (322 million), Arabic (186 million). These estimates are VERY LOW, but even with this, I can communicate with more than 1.6billion people on earth.

But really, its my writing that I am hoping will get me in. Editor in Chief, Editorial Column for three years, (I'm thinking of creating a blogging club), Im going to join the literary magazine of our school for the next three years too. I have won one essay competition so far, I won second place amongst 1400 high school students. I plan to submit a portfolio to Davidson Fellowship(Wish me luck, really prestigious), just in general win a lot of writing-related competitions/scholarships/awards.

OH YEA, a big thing I forgot to mention. I got into this program, University of Chicago Collegiate Scholars Program. Its like very selective, 45/500+ got accepted online, 9.5% acceptance rate. you basically take classes every summer for six weeks at the University of Chicago. They work really hard to ensure you go to a competitive university, (you actually have to sign an agreement saying that you want to go to a competitive university). Its really good and basically, since I want to go into law, I'm going try and hook up an internship with some law professors nearby at University of Chicago Law School. I'm sure the people at the scholars program could arrange something. I plan to make full use of the program/the people who can help me. Oh and I plan to do some short internships at a Law firm maybe next year or so. I hope I get into this Law camp i applied to this summer. Also I applied to a short journalism program, hopefully I get into that.

Oh yea, I go to Sunday school(for the last ten years, like i said, religion is a big part of me) and, I am a boyscout. I plan to be an Eagle scout by junior year. Another one of my essays will be about my Scout Leader who recently passed away and how that affected me and my perseverance in helping the world like my scoutmaster helped me/taught me.

What do you think, I think I am pretty Unique and I think I've missed somethings but ya cant remember much at the moment. Oh and I am very very social/out going person, very likable[in terms of interviews and stuff] and since I'm pretty conservative Muslim and I take religion seriously, I respect my elders [partially due to culture], as in I am very respectful to teachers and teachers love me. MY counselor LOVES ME so far, freshmen year has passed and she says that she see's so much potential in me; she loves it when I come to her office. I can get an amazing rec from her, for sure.

Last thing, I am pretty low-income. So If I went to a place like Harvard, I would get full ride finAid, which is what I need.

What do you think? Thanks ahead of time. Sorry about the longevity of this post and the horrible grammar, its midnight. Ill check the responses tomorrow morning.
