<p>GPA: 4.0 UW (My school doesn't provide any AP/IB courses, no ranking system)
ACT: 29 (MATH 32, SCIENCE 31, READING 25, ENGLISH 29)
SAT II: Math2 790, Bio-M 760, Chem 740
Awards/ECs:
-school champion, regional champion in nation level math contests in Canada (Waterloo) from grade9 to 12.
-Gold Medalist in the Regional Science Olympiad
-Top Three in the Brain Bee Neuroscience Olympiad
-Honor Roll from gr 9 to 11
-Won highest grade academic awards in (9,10,11,12)math, (9,10)science, (11)biology and (11)chemistry from my school
-Summer Research Internship at a hospital with a graduate student under the supervision of a neuroscience professor/researcher (submitted the research report as a supplementary material to JHU admissions office)
-A full academic year (2011-2012) research student in a famous Brain Tumor Research Centre. (Working on a project with a post-doc to be used for ISEF and global google science fair)
-University of Toronto National Biology Competition 94 Percentile
-100+ hrs volunteer at a local hospital
-100+ hrs volunteers at my church

-Chair of the ads and events committee
-a member of school swimming team (won numerous ribbons and medals from local and regional swimming championships)

-plays a tenor saxophone in both junior and senior concert bands and have won gold at the regional/provincial music festival</p>

<p>I’d say you have a reasonable chance. Your research experience and other science ECs are good, although not unique in an applicant pool like JHU’s. Out of curiosity, at what level of the Brain Bee were you top three, since it is a multi-tiered competition? (I did the IBB myself some years ago.)</p>
