<p>My GPA/test scores are good, but I'm a little worried about my ECs, or lack thereof. I'm an Asian male living in Kansas.</p>

<p>Extracurriculars
Piano (2002- ) Have won numerous regional awards/highest ratings at competitions, several master classes with regional professors.</p>
<p>Cello (2005- ) Actively involved in high school orchestra, KC Youth Symphony (5 years, including principal cellist 1 year), founded a student string quartet in 2010 that plays at a lot of Chinese cultural events. Have done numerous chamber music camps. Played in my local church's youth orchestra for a Christmas service/concert. I've also been an all-state cellist the past 2 years.</p>
<p>Worked as a summer student for 4 weeks this past July at a children's hospital genetics research lab, got to do a lot of interesting stuff with DNA; my common app essay is about my experience there and how it shaped me as an adult.</p>

<p>Is JHU in my reach? Or, conversely, should I apply EA/ED to a more selective school? Also, should I submit piano/cello recordings as supplemental material? Any input at all would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!</p>
