Feel like I'll have a pretty competitive application for these schools, but I just want to make sure I have reasonable expectations for college, so any feedback is welcome. I'm only a junior in high school, but I feel like I have enough information to be accurately "chanced".

GPA: 4.8 w, 4.01 uw
Class Rank: 14th out of 474
SAT: 2090
SAT II's: haven't taken them yet
AP's: 5 on art history and will likely get 5's on Chem, Language and Comp, and U.S. history
Course load:
-all non-AP classes were honors/advanced
-AP Art History and AP US 1 sophomore year
-AP English, AP Chem, and AP US 2 as junior
-AP Bio, AP comparative politics, and BC calc senior year

Intended field of study: biology/pre-med

EC's:
-6 week bioresearch internship over the summer
-science club for all of high school (became president)
-Model UN from sophomore to senior year (became president)
-volunteer for local EMT rescue squad
-2 sessions of CTY (not sure this matters)
-NYLF last summer

Mainly worried about EC's, I guess.

my weighted average is on a 5.33 scale, so a 5.3 is impossible. i have an A average with a good amount of AP’s, so i don’t think my transcript will be much of an issue. but thanks for your criticism otherwise.

…he was kidding.

I think.

Tell me about your summer internships!

Did research on the immune system. Admittedly, I had a lot of help from the mentor assigned to me, but I really enjoyed the experience. I’ll probably write about it in one of my essays because I intend to do research in college. Hopefully, that would prepare me for an eventual position in academic medicine.

Bumping this- will chance back btw

Would actually like to be told what’s a reach, match, etc.

Geez if your grades are that good and you’re ranked 14th, I can’t imagine what the top-5 GPAs are
Reed, Oberlin, and Bard are high matches
Johns Hopkins and Emory are low reaches, but still think you have a good chance at getting accepted

Mine please?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1567285-chance-transfer.html

I’d say
Bard is a match,
Reed/Oberlin are high matches
Emory and Johns Hopkins are low reaches

Make sure you have a strong essay because the majority of these schools (particularly Bard, Oberlin and Reed) will weigh them heavily.
